Thaís dos Santos
Bachelor in Dance from Unicamp and specialist in Klauss Vianna Technique (PUC-SP).
I am a contemporary dance artist and art educator, interested in collaborative and interdisciplinary creative processes and movement research.
Currently, I am creator and performer in the Coletivo Outras Paragens, of scenic creation, based on the Klauss Vianna Technique, and in the Coletivo Invertido, of vertical dance, being also a performer in the project “Meltdown”, by Mariana Molinos and Felipe Teixeira.
As a performer, I participated in the contemporary dance show “Corpus” (2012), choreographed by Teresa Ranieri; the integrated arts show “Simbad, que conheceu o mundo” (2014), directed by Rodrigo Matheus; and the multimodal opera "Descobertas", conceived by Jonatas Mazoli and choreographed by Daniela Gatti.
As a creator, I performed the shows: “O corpo conta um conto” (2010); “Em preto e branco” (2013 and 2014), by the Grupo Impro(nunciáveis); “o queue te impede de ter leveza an alma?” (2014 - 2018), by the Grupo EmQueda, awarded by the FICC-2016; “Pseudoparte” (2015); “Imagine o mundo” (2016), by Grupo Imaginar-te, awarded by the Proac Primeiras Obras de Dança, and “Vem imagine-te”, awarded by the Proac Artes Integradas I (2017); the scenic-musical shows “Quantas bocas a cidade vai abrir?” (2015), “Por toda parte, o Sertão” (2017), “Claroescuro” (2018) with Coltivo Inverso, directed by Regina Machado. I composed the song "Cajueiro", with Dudu Ferraz, and was part of the conception, realization and interpretation of its music video (2020).
I was Production Coordinator of Unidança 2013 (Unicamp) and of the Circuito Barão of the International Theater Festival Feverestival (2017) and Production of space at Feverestival (2018).
I developed an Undergraduate Research, funded by Cnpq, entitled “The interface between dance and literature: a choreographic study inspired by the short story 'Flow' by Hilda Hilst” (2014-2015). And I published the article "Paths to emancipation: performativity and the processes of subjectivation of the Klauss Vianna Technique", in TKV Magazine, ed.7 (2021).
I also was an artist-advisor of the Vocational Dance Program of the São Paulo City Hall (2015-2016) and I am a public school Arts teacher at the São Paulo City Hall (2017-2022).
